Teck has a mandate and committment to clean up the water quality impacting the local hydrogeological system due to water runoff from their Elkview, Fording River, Greenhills and Line Creek operations. Active and passive water treamtent systems are currently in place and being expanded at all sites to address the management of selenium and other substances released by mining activities in the Elk Valley. This is a long-term program that will continue to drive environmental stewardship for everyone that lives and works in the valley
